Meningitis Vaccine Clinical Research Study
(Salt Lake City, UT)

Did you know that Meningitis Type B (MnB) causes 1/3 of all Meningitis cases? There is currently no vaccine to prevent MnB. ACR is conducting 2 different studies that test an investigational vaccine to prevent MnB in children and young adults, ages 10-25.  Below is a brief description of each study.  To see if you or your child qualifies to take part in one of them, contact ACR at 801 542-8198 or complete the form below and someone will contact you.

Meningitis Vaccine Clinical Research Study #1 (ages 10-12)
Meningococcal disease type B (MnB) is caused by a certain type of bacteria that can make your child very sick.

No vaccine to prevent MnB is currently available.

Your child (ages 10-12) may be eligible to take part in a clinical trial* to test an investigational† vaccine for MnB.

The goal of this trial is to help doctors understand if an investigational vaccine for MnB works by itself and in combination with MCV4 (a licensed vaccine against 4 other type of meningococcal disease) and Tdap (a licensed vaccine against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccines and to compare those results with children who did not receive the investigational vaccine for MnB.

Contact ACR to see if your child qualifies at 801 542-8198 or complete the form below and someone will contact you.

* A clinical trial is a carefully managed study done by doctors to learn more about potential new medicines and treatments.
† An investigational vaccine is an unapproved vaccine that is being tested in a clinical trial.

Meningitis Vaccine Clinical Research Study #2 (ages 10-25)
ACR is part of a clinical trial to test an investigational vaccine for meningococcal disease type B (MnB) in young people ages 10-25.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about participating in this clinical trial, please call ACR at 801 542-8198.
